Do you work with young people in western Sydney?

Would you like the chance to win an Apple iPad?

The Science of Knowing is working with Western Sydney Primary Health Network (WSPHN) to learn more about how to support young people, particularly those experiencing alcohol and other drug (AOD) harm. They are also interested in knowing what training and/or info you may need to better support these young people. If you work with young people, we want to hear from you! This includes youth workers, social workers, psychologists, mental health workers, volunteers etc.

The Science of Knowing presents at the 2017 Australasian Evaluation Society Conference

The Science of Knowing was delighted to present at the recent Australasian Evaluation Society (AES) 2017 Conference held in Canberra in September. Our Director, Victoria Visser, and Senior Research and Evaluation Officers, Sara Dixon and Marc Gehrmann, presented our methodology for a current evaluation project. The project aims to evaluate the benefits and impact of an internationally renowned suicide postvention service, the STANDBY Support After Suicide service. Our presentation focussed on how we developed multiple methodologies to manage the diverse groups involved, ensuring a rigorous and feasible design.

Several hundred delegates attended the AES Conference in 2017, with over 100 interesting and insightful presentations on the importance and value of evaluation in building effective policies and programs.
